Phil's Facebook Live Diving Film Talk with Relevant Links
Thought I’d share the complete, uncut video from my talk about diving related films from Monday 25th May along with links to the films that are available to buy on Amazon .
Watch the video before you scroll down to the list and see how many you already have in your collection.
Feel free to comment your opinions.
We are now part of Amazon’s Associate Programme. This means buying something via one of the links below will help fund us to do more blogs, FB Live Talks and run the Q & A Group For more info about this go to our T & C’s
We’ll go in the same order of the video.
But before the movies here’s the link to the wine merchants we bought the El Pugil Tempranillo Toro from, it’s Grape to Grain in Prestwich, Manchester. They do their own FB Live tasting sessions which we’d recommend for something different to do one evening if you like wine and they delivery UK wide.
Anyway on with the films!
We started off with a range of James Bond films. Lots of versions of these available to buy.
The version I have is the DVD boxset, The James Bond Collection with all 24 official films so far available along with a BluRay version here *
I did also mention Never Say Never Again (which isn’t in the ‘official’ collection) If you do want to see it and have entered the modern age, you can rent or buy it via Amazon Prime here *
Next up was True Lies with Arnie. The DVD version that I have is here *
Would you believe that the Jacques Cousteau three film set is a whopping £49.99 for DVD and a painful £79.99 for the BluRay! Here’s the link anyway * in case you are feeling flush.
The Abyss one disk DVD is a bargain in comparison, click here to buy it *
Onwards to free diving with the Big Blue available on BluRay or DVD as a Director’s Cut here*
More relaxing Luc Besson directed underwater material can be had from Atlantis * on BluRay or DVD
Jaws is available to rent or buy on Amazon Prime*
Finding Nemo can be had on DVD and Blu Ray with Finding Dory (which I didn’t mention) here*
North Sea Hijack also known as Ffolkes is a bit pricey at £9.98 on DVD*. Maybe wait until the price goes down if you’d like to own this fun but corny film.
The Life Aquatic With Steve Zissou is on Amazon Prime to buy and rent. At £3.99 to buy on HD* it’s not a bad deal and will leave you with change to buy that red woolly hat you’ve always wanted.
Sharks in British Seas doesn’t seem to be still available new so you’ll have to keep an eye open for a used copy.
The Deep can be found on Amazon Prime to rent or buy *
The Cave is on Amazon Prime for free if you are a member. I’ll include the link so you can find it as there are also another film called ‘The Cave and one that’s just ‘Cave’ So if you want to see some great cave diving footage followed by a cheesy horror film click here But I probably wouldn’t take out Amazon Prime membership just to watch it.
Amsterdamned is available on DVD as Shameless Fan Edition with a Director’s Cut no less! At only £5.99 I might buy this myself to get my 80’s Dutch diving slasher film fix. Bit niche genre but here’s the link*
And last but not least the excellent black and white war movie The Silent Enemy is a bit pricey at £15.99 on DVD * but it was shown on Film4 recently so may pop up again on there if you want a good watch based on a true story.
Thank you for watching the video, I know it’s quite long! And an even bigger thank you if you decided to click through and buy something via the links. You can also support what I do by donating through our Buy Me A Coffee page.
We’ll be doing talks every Thursday at 8.00pm UK time, for the foreseeable future.
I’ll also be posting more blogs, some based around the talks like this one and hopefully some others.
